The Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC) is the only UK-wide club of its kind for young people interested in archaeology and all things historic. It aims to inspire the next generation of professional archaeologists.

YAC Branches are like archaeological youth clubs. Most of them meet about once a month. The Club currently has over 60 Branches around the UK. If you are aged between 8 and 16, YAC Branches provide an excellent opportunity for you to find out more about your local archaeology and get involved in archaeological projects. These can include anything from excavation work and field walking, to cooking a Medieval banquet!

The YAC website also hosts some great teaching resources that can be used by anyone: make a Viking tortoise brooch or perhaps you can grow your own crop marks!

The website also contains a handy map of places to visit as YAC Club members get special offers at museums and other attractions all over the UK.
